Czestochowa Virgin Mary Church
One of the first buildings you encounter in the heart of Polonezköy is the Czestochowa Virgin Mary Church. Its story is quite interesting: the first church was built from wood in 1842, but after being destroyed in an earthquake, it was rebuilt in 1914 in its current form. During World War I, it was even used as a headquarters! Today, it welcomes visitors in its restored state. Inside, there are exhibits about Polish history, and one of the most notable items is a replica of the famous Virgin Mary icon from Poland.
Entrance: Free
Visiting: Open outside service hours. Summer services are on Saturdays at 19:00, winter services at 18:00.
