Beyoğlu Breakfast Places
Norre İstanbul
Norre Istanbul, in Cihangir, stands out with its small but carefully designed atmosphere and is a popular spot especially for breakfast and brunch. The café’s minimalist décor creates a warm and inviting vibe; although the space is compact, you can spend time comfortably. For breakfast, the Çılbır and “Hej Avokado” plate are the standout dishes. You can complement your meal with an Iced Matcha Latte or Iced Americano.
Weekends can be busy, so visiting on weekdays is better for a peaceful experience. Although prices are slightly high, as of August 2025, the “Hej Avokado” at 430 TL meets expectations in both taste and presentation. If you’re looking for a pleasant breakfast spot in Cihangir, Norre Istanbul is worth adding to your list.
Hasan Fehmi Özsüt
One of the most delightful stops in Cihangir, Hasan Fehmi Özsüt captivates you with its historic atmosphere despite its small and simple structure. You can start your day with freshly prepared breakfast items, including honey & clotted cream and sucuk. The drinks made with buffalo milk and the breakfast spreads are particularly highly praised by visitors.
In addition to breakfast, classic milk-based desserts like kazandibi and tavuk göğsü are highly recommended. The café is small, so during busy hours, there might be a short wait, but the culinary experience is definitely worth it. For those seeking a historic touch and cozy breakfast in Cihangir, Hasan Fehmi Özsüt comes highly recommended. Click here for the Tripadvisor link.
Pera Bakery

Pera Bakery is a café I always enjoy visiting. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Service is carefully managed, with fresh flowers on the tables. The café is located on the ground floor of a historic building, and even the streets you walk through on the way are very charming.
Sitting at a window-side table in the morning or at lunchtime, watching the street, is particularly enjoyable. Prices are quite reasonable compared to nearby cafés. Pera Bakery is a great choice for a relaxed and pleasant time. As of 2025, a croissant with coffee costs around 450 TL.

Limonlu Bahçe

Limonlu Bahçe is located just below Galatasaray High School. From the outside, the café looks like an apartment, but inside it invites you into a completely different atmosphere. After walking down a long corridor and descending to the lower floor, you’ll find a quiet space opening onto a garden.
It is an ideal place to escape the chaos of Beyoğlu and enjoy a relaxing breakfast surrounded by greenery. As of 2025, a breakfast for two costs around 1000 TL. Click here for the Tripadvisor link.
Galata Konak Cafe

Galata Konak Cafe stands out with its stunning views and warm atmosphere. The terrace, where you can see the Galata Tower, is open, while the part overlooking the Bosphorus is enclosed with glass. Prices are slightly higher than cafés without a view, but in my opinion, it’s worth it. The staff are extremely friendly, and the service is really good. The desserts and lemonade are a must-try. Definitely worth a visit. Click here for the Tripadvisor link.

Van Kahvaltı Evi – Beyoğlu
Van Kahvaltı Evi is one of my favourite breakfast spots in Istanbul. I believe it is one of the best places to experience a traditional Van breakfast. On Sundays, you might find a queue at the door, and although the venue is spacious, it’s always busy. I’ve had the chance to try it three times, and each experience was excellent. The waiters are friendly and experienced, and the service is very good. The products are fresh and high-quality, and they also offer unique flavours. As of 2025, a serpme breakfast for two costs around 1000 TL. Click here for the Tripadvisor link.

Namlı Gurme – Karaköy
Namlı Gurme in Karaköy is a café that can be described as decent. It’s a gourmet spot offering various selections and flavours, but expectations shouldn’t be too high. The cheeses, olives, and breakfast items are very fresh, but sometimes the atmosphere and service can feel ordinary. If you are in Karaköy, it can be a convenient choice for a quick bite. Doğacıyız Gourmet – Cihangir
Doğacıyız Gourmet is a hidden gem in Cihangir! The Antakya breakfast table is amazing: zahter, hummus, peppered bread, and olive salad are fresh and carefully prepared. Homemade jams and mezes are also excellent. The künefe is prepared in the traditional Antakya style, offering a perfect taste. With its warm atmosphere and friendly staff, this place is ideal for those looking for a delicious and healthy breakfast experience. Click here for the Tripadvisor link.
